Yeah, so i set my rates back to what they were on my old computer.. and i lag. Tried a bunch of different ones, but it lags.. all the time. HUGE lag spikes up to 400latency.. I'm just going to transfer my steam over later.. So, I wont be on for a while..

Hey Penguin, I swapped my chip to a xeon (quad 2.66), if your chip tops out early like Chris' did, you may look into selling yours and getting a xeon version of your chip, they are speed binned so they are the best of the best. One review was hitting 3.6ghz stock, 1.3v=3.8ghz, 1.4v=4.225ghz. And they generally run cooler, and also are cheaper than the core2 branded ones. So, whats up with your rates, If I read this right, you messed with them, now you lag (on your new computer)? Try the other Ethernet port or something (what rates are you using?) |

Cursed.. Read.. I cannot play ANY steam based game.. My chip's runnin' fine. Haven't over clocked yet.. Somethin' up with my rates. I set them, back at the ones on my old computer 20000, 20, 20, That gave me no lag, no stutter on my old comptuer.. New one, no matter WHAT i try.. 10-80 on cmdrate and updaterate, and 20-30k on rate = constant lag spikes.. I updated drivers on the ethernet ports, no good on that end. |

If all you steam games are giving you ping spikes... it isn't rates. |
