I am repost this, if you want to know why I deleted it (nothing happened, seriously) ask me in TS. The forum ads produce revenue for splak, all the money goes back into splak, in the form of a donation from "google ads" on the donation page. The way google ads work is they look at how many clicks you get per view, this ratio give you a click per view rate. This rate is somehow through the use of witchcraft converted into a $ ratio. This ratio is called $### per 1000 VIEWS. So if the ratio is 10 bucks for every 1000 view, and 1500 people view the page, we get 15 bucks that day. And we do get alot of traffic, the down side is out of 1500 view, we get like 10 clicks, so we make a buck or so a day. Right now we made about 8 bucks a day (started at 12, then 9, now 7) and it will keep dropping until hopefully it settles around 2-5. Also google logs your IP and if you sit there and click the ads (even if its tons of shit you like), you are fucking splak, they will know you are just clicking ads and not count your clicks, or even worse, disable my account. ^ Cant stress this enough DO NOT SIT THERE AND CLICK THE ADS OVER AND OVER. It only counts 1 click per IP per hour, or maybe even day. Also google does allow me to tell you to click, because this would against their rules, they would like for you to read the ads at the top and if you see anything that interest you, then click it. It is up to you want to click the ads.... again I can not encourage you to click the ads.... you have to make the decision on if the ad interest you enough to click it. If a visitor happens to find a ad with a product that you like, and he or she happens to click it, that click = money for the server. |

Yeah, we hit like 140 bucks, then they closed my account, wont see 1 cent of it... fuckers. I know exactly why too, had the account for a year, it generated like 5 bucks a month (if that), and had like 1 click week, and 30 views a day, then one day, we go from 30 views to 3000... so yeah, google thinks we are cheating them, but there is nothing I can do about it, and yahoo isnt gay like that. But yahoo has to approve us, so we have to wait, if not yahoo there are other choices. |
