Woot! got some new donations in, thanks to everyone who has ever donated to Splak, over $2000 since we started. The only thing I use the donations to is towards paying the $40/month to keep the CZ pub running, plus the splak website.
I am really happy with where the clan is right now, everyone in splak/skeet deserve a pat on the back. As I have said before if there is any game that any of you want to run a dedicated server on (valve games are the easiest for me to set up), please request it (send me a pm or whatever) and I will set you up with a server, we have a a nice, no lag, low ping server that cost me nothing to add any game to, all I do is set up the server, give you ftp access to it, and let you do whatever you want to with it. I want to expand splak to have any game that our members play, but I need help with this.
A while back we tried putting the CZ pub onto my own server (free) server that I have, but it was a much weaker older computer at that time and people complained it was not as good. Now we have a top of the line Quad core computer, that handles all my L4D(2) servers great. So if people are up for it, I can re-copy the splak pub back to that server and see how it goes. I will do it the exact same method as I did last time; leave the old server up for a few months, when people join it will re-direct them to the new server. If people like the new server, we will just shut down the old one, it will be just a new IP more or less. If we do this, it will be more stable (recover from crashes every time, so no server downtime) and it will save the clan $40 a month.... thoughts?
