We shouldn't view other countries calling upon the US to aid them a hypocrite move because of the US's influence on the world. We are a powerful nation and should not seek war but to help out the world. We can help save many countries yet we don't do as much as we should and I feel that is another reason why most of the world hates the US.
As for what has the rest of the world done for us, think of where we get most of our oil from. The US nor any other nation is perfect, we all depend on foreign goods. America imports many things, things you may be using now. We like fancy items that other countries produce or make. That is just how we are.
The War in Iraq is complicated and some may see that it was a good idea and some may not, I'm just happy Obama will end it. Not sure how long or what the situation will be but I'm just happy we don't need to fund that war any longer if he is successful.
pressed for time, but we can drill here, we have plenty of the black stuff, just not permission to use it. Lest we forget Afganistan in the 70's(correct me if i'm wrong on the time) and the lesson on not solving things we get into. And I know countries make things for us, but they never give us large sums of money to help our enourmous debt, our poor and suffering. We certainly give a ton though. And if America is such a crappy country in some other peoples eyes, how can they look up to us? Unless they are secretly crappy and evil too, which maybe they are, who am I to judge.
