Men for the past week, My rate was insanely high. I already put my rate to 35000 but i still have a high rate.Is there anyhing i can do

i did that and i still like freeze. i think it was u cursed or some1 else that told me to put rate inc in console. that screwed me up for like the rest of the day on monday. thx a lot man. jk :P i rlly need to learn more bout counter strike

Usually when you set ur rates they dont change unless you or osmeone else changes them.

One time i messed up my rates cause i typed "cl_rate 35000", and i lagged so badly . you arent sopposed to mess with that part of rates. Did u do that instead of "rate 35000"?

you need to change more than just rate
theirs rate/cl_cmdrate/cl_updaterate
also it depends on where you live i live in nevada so mine are:
rate 30000 cl_cmdrate 45 cl_updaterate 45
so if you live anywhere near nevada you can try these or if its still alittle laggy you can also try and raise each little by little
in addition type net_graph 3 in console and check if you have loss or choke if you do you need to fix your rates its alright if your loss or choke goes up alittle to something like 1 or 2 though
also try messing around with them in your free time it helps your registry

Your rate seems higher than it should for some reason, i'd try 25000-30000

I use
rate 30000
cl_cmdrate 60
cl_updaterate 60

rate should be 25000-30000 (lower if you have major problems)
cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate should be change one at a time, turn them up until you get choke and or loss, then turn it down about 5-10. So like, I get chock and loss at 70/70, so 60/60 works great for me.

rates depend on distance from the server, connection speed and vcard (fps rates). Its not necessary to have the same rates as everyone.

What I know is your "rate" should be as high as possible unless you get choke then keep lowering it until there's no choke or loss of packets. ("net_graph 3" shows that)

Your cl_cmdrate should be your fps rate (unless your fps fluctuates a lot then it should be fps -5)

The cl_updaterate should be also as high as possible but not higher than cl_cmdrate. Its how many times you download player positions from the server per second (I think). cl_updaterate 20 will lower any lag but it will make you reg less. cl_updaterate 101 will increase lag if you have a slow connection but you will reg better on the server. so try a few combinations and always check your packet loss/choke.
