kids too young to take the kind of beating id deal out to him. as a parent myself, I dont know how I would react to my son treating my wife and his mother like that, I was raised to respect women. If he were 16 years old or so, and he were to have done that in a private place like home... Id pick him up by the neck and hang him on the wall. What an ungreatful little shit, anyone catch this kids name? Keep an eye out for him ladies, we've got a future wife beater here.

If I had a kid and he did that, I'd claim that it wasn't abuse, but necessary discipline. If that didn't keep me from jail, I'd cry for what this world has come to.

Seriously, there's a difference between abuse and discipline. Now there are women running around who file abuse against parents who SPANK their children. Excuse me? SPANKING a child is NOT abuse. Not in any way.

These are just my views. And, yes, I will absolutely debate this topic if someone REALLY wants to give it go. I'll warn you though: I won't stop or tone it down until defeat or topic lock. I'm adamant on this one, and I have the knowledge to back up this argument.

^^ Totally agree. Not hard beating or using tools like belts and crap they show in movies.. but just sending kids to their room isnt a punishment people!

Yeah. As I said, there's a line. It doesn't have to be hard, or use anything. But damn it, if it doesn't friggin' terrify them during and after the first time, it's not effective.

When I was a kid, spanking terrified me. That's all that ever had to be done. I was taught a lot of the old ways/morals/values, and damn, if I didn't adhere to those, I knew what was coming. I learned respect and discipline fast.

My father never hit me. Not with a fist. But he wasn't afraid to grab me roughly, carry me, and scare the shit out of me with some threat. (I.E. get taken away, disowned, jail, etc...haha! It might have all been a bluff, but as a young naive kid, it straightened me out) Spanking terrified me though. It never INJURED me, but it wasn't fun, and as a young kid, the pain was something I didn't want.

Also, yelling at your kid is not abuse. Appearing furious is not abuse. It won't scar your child if you let them know afterward that you still love them. That's what my father did, and I'm not in jail. I'd like to say he did something right.

Since I lived in another country and customs are different, my dad used to beat the shit out of my brother and me if we did anything wrong. I think that that truly does help the kid later on. I can be a pretty good example of it. I have not been to jail so far.

Little story... When I was about 5, me and my dad were walking through Wal-Mart when I saw a micro machine that I wanted really badly. My birthday was coming up soon, and I threw a tantrum in the middle of the isle because my dad wouldn't buy me the toy he had already bought for me as a birthday present.

I started screaming/crying/throwing shit etc.

My dad proceeded to spank me... Nothing major, but a good hard spanking.

A lady walked over and started bitching at my dad because he was spanking me. She said that it was beating etc.

She offended him so much that he offered to let her take my place.

She declined graciously.




I look back at it and don't see it as anything but my own good. I never got a whipping that wasn't deserved.

Whether it was switches/belt/hand/paddle etc. Everyone of them were justified.

I thank my parents for the discipline they beat into me. For without it, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

My wife wasnt disciplined using anything physical, just grounded and had things taken away, she has a hard time disciplineing our son when he starts acting crazy. I was raised by getting paddled (my folks were both old teachers, one of them being a principal) and I have no problems spakning or hand swatting. She actually gets upset and sometimes almost distressed when I have to spank him, its just a product of your upbringing. In that video I was actually suprised that the mother didnt immediately slap the kid back, because thats how I was raised. If I knew it was coming it wouldnt be nearly as effective. Like awol said, If it doesnt terrify them the first time, then it'll be a hard lesson learned. A prompt slap back with no warning would have made me think twice about slapping my mother again.

yeah thats fucked up no doubt, but if you've seen the show its like that some kids are actually abused/treated bad o whatever, and that kid makes bullshit up to do stuff. i can't remeber his name its funny as hell to watch the show though

There's a reason the ass was made the way it was. If we all had glass ass then we would not spank, but that's not the case. And if I ever did that my ass was glass. Where is the dad during this. Hell, even the mom should kick his ass.

The fucking kid thinks he has a say on the whole situation. That's what happens when you pamper a kid too much. He thinks he is equal (and in many times, he thinks he is superior) to you or other adults. This will get them to whine and disobey your order. That's when a good whipping should begin to take place.
