Looks like I'm going to have to give Dell Support a call and ask for a replacement(hoping my warranty hasn't expired). The M1330 was powerful but unfortunately shared only one vent fan which caused massive heating issues. Unfortunately my laptop started weird glitching and crashing which are the first signs that my graphics card is breaking. The flaw causes parts to melt inside the laptop due to massive overheating. I swear to God, Dell better send me a replacement.

If my warranty expired or Dell won't replace it or they take 4 years to do so, anyone know any powerful and RELIABLE laptops that don't have flaws that break your computer many months later because I need a laptop now that classes started.

A lot of other M1330 owners are having the same problem due to the GFX card starting to break, lots of vids on youtube displaying the weird stripes glitch crash which is the same as the pic I took, I'll post it later.

I have a Toshiba....... Idk any of the specifics but it plays CZ kinda fine, doesnt lag alot, but more then my stationary computer.

It's working right now but only because it cooled down overnight, once it starts to warm up that's when it crashes and burns. Other owners say these are starting signs of the card breaking, I want to call Dell now before it gets worse or before my warranty expires, I'm thinking of opening the laptop and looking inside to see if the parts are clearly melted so that Dell won't bullshit me and say that I'm wrong. The trigger for the crash is heat(obviously). If the laptop is stone cold because it sat overnight then it will work, only after a while will it begin the crash sessions, I don't want to to wait until its completely unuseable before I call Dell because that's bullshit.

dont open it. that could just fuck you over and end your warranty, i dont know, but for mac, they told me if i opened it up my warranty would expire. so just tell them about it, and send it in to them.

good point, they'll just say that I fucked it up when I opened it so they won't have to do anything.

If I do have to get another laptop I'm looking for alternatives, I want that Alienware laptop thats only 1500 or that M1530(but another dell laptop ). Besides Apple, anyone know any other tstrong, RELIABLE laptops that's affordable.

If it is the bump solder issue with NV cards on some laptops then you will NOT be able to see anything melted, it inside the processor where a solder falls apart from too much heat (on a microscopic level).

Either way, they are right, do not open it.

I know you guys are right, I won't even think about opening it. I'm still going to explore the idea of downgrading the BIOS because others say it stabilized their systems and ended the crashes, could just be a temporary solution though. But the good news is that I still have 728 days left on my warranty

It looks like motherboard replacement is the only remedy seeing as everyone with the same problem had it fixed by having it replaced. But it looks tedious seeing as some people had to go through 3 motherboard replacements knowing that another one is inevitable. I'm gonna call and email customer service about it now.

Well, looks like it's 100% down, every time I turn it on the BSOD comes on and tells me their is major hardware malfunction and that I need to contact the vendor.

dang... don't open it up.. that's all i can say.. i took apart one of my old stationary pc's and i tried to fix it... i put some cables in wrong and it caught on fire XD...
