^ ummm... about that. Someone pranked people who research on Wikipedia by putting a fake quote about someone and lots of journalist believed it. They [journalists] used it in their work and the kid is laughing about it. I read an article about it yesterday. So....... NOT EVERYTHING is reviewed carefully.

for a high school paper, which will be read by a teacher with at most a masters degree, i think ripping from wikipedia to get a general understanding of the content is ok.

to write a formal essay to either A) your professor at the collegiate level with a doctorate or B) a peer reviewed journal article, would be ridiculous and suicidal.

journalism is a joke in this country anyways, not their fault. we just need to be fed "news" every hour on the hour, how much time do they have to back up their "resources"?

on like every big research paper ive ever gotten, i just like copied everything off wikipedia, but i buy the books in the cited part at the bottom and add more info from them.

^I just use the footnotes on the bottom of the Wikipedia page for my bibliographies. I [<-EDIT] Dont buy the books though.
