^ yeah one of my favorite book authors is William Sleator, and i read a book about aliens and the main character's best friend gets abducted by good aliens and he's missing for like 10 days, but his best friend has really been away for like 10 years while he was in space

If Q-tips were not designed to go into your ear canal for fishing out wax. Why do people use them for that? I use a pen cap and save the Q-tips for cleaning guns.

exactly, some of the stars we see are the closest ones and they're maybe 200 light years away, so what we see happening around them and what our brains/computers percieve actually happened 200 years ago. for example, if there is a solar flare on the sun, our sun, we wouldnt know about it until 6 minutes. even with a telescope pointed at it, the light that enters the telescope would take the same amount of time to reach the telescope, even though we're able to see closer to the sun.
